Just hit some near maxes in the gym today. My trainer friend is a powerlifter. Really inspiring. Today he pushed me to flat bench 265. Incline 215. Those are new records for me. And I’m confident my chest can do more. I just gotta build my triceps. I attempted 275 twice. I didn’t get it on the extension but I blew the weight off my chest.
Today I set some personal records. First of all, What this guy squatted. I did. 290 lbs for 8 repetitions for 3 sets. Difficult, not even close to impossible.
After squats(on the smith machine) I hit up the legpress for 855 lbs at 8 reps for 3 sets. On sunday I did 905 at the same interval. I just didn’t have the same strength two days later. Definitely a reason for me to spread my leg days out some more.
Overall. I was really happy, did some ab work and HIIT run. I really owned it today. I’m getting leaner, but I’m still finding my strengths. My legs are unstoppable as far as I’m concerned.
